Time flies so fast. Summer seems like yesterday and now November is here, cold wind starts to blow ushering winter and the Christmas season. There are quiet a number of celebrations in November simply because many people attribute this month as the end of the reaping or harvest season. It also marks the passing of foliage season leaves or autumn, leaving the landscape looking bleak. In Western cultures, personifications of autumn are usually an abundance of so many good things, fruits, vegetables and grains that ripen at this time. Still the most significant of these celebrations are found in the November Thanksgiving holiday of the United States. The predominant mood of November celebrations are colorful celebrations for the fruits of the earth mixed with a certain melancholy yet peaceful mood linked to the imminent arrival of a harsh winter weather.
