This Saturday, March 27, 2010, the octagon will be open again because Harley-Davison “The only motorcycle worthy of being in the Octagon” sponsors The Ultimate Fighting Challenge 111. This is going to be a big Mixed-Martial Arts event that will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.  UFC  fans all over the world have been so pumped up to witness this event  because it is the first time this year that the World UFC Welterweight Championship and the World UFC Interim Heavyweight Championship Fights are taking place in one single event including six aired and un-aired preliminary bouts.

The main card of this event features the most awaited fight between the Canadian
Welterweight Champion Georges “Rush” St-Pierre who is unstoppable after regaining his title, against Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy who is unbeaten in the UFC and is said to be The British Bomber. Even though Hardy has some great hands and knockout power in his leg kicks, he is the underdog in this fight and believed to have only one percent chance of winning. In contrary, St-Pierre is pressured and feeling nervous because the last time he faced a massive underdog Matt Serra, he lost the fight and eventually lost his title.

Also from the event’s main card is the fight between the former two-time Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir against Shane Carwin whose current record is undefeated. Carwin won his fights mostly from the knockout power of his straight punches while Mir is one of the most technical grapplers in the UFC and on top of his game. The event also features the fight against Ben Saunders against Jake Ellenberger in the main card. Ellenberger is a substitute to Martin Kampmann who suffered from a deep cut in his training. Also from the same card is the fight of Jim Miller against Mark Bocek and John Fitch against Thiago Alves.

Spike TV will broadcast the Welterweight Division fights of Nate Diaz against Roy Markham and Ricardo Almeida versus Matt Brown.
